Richard Winfield Ceramics

Richard Winfield graduated from Bath Spa University with a degree in Ceramics in 2004. Since that time, he has worked as a plaster technician at the same institution, on the same course, and has continued to develop his functional/decorative work from a studio based in Bristol.

Richard works with earthenware and porcelain, using the former for more strongly coloured glaze work, mainly on plates, platters and vases, and the latter for more subtle coloured vessels, including bottles and shot-glasses.

Work is made using plaster techniques and throwing, although Richard will employ any relevant method to achieve a desired effect.
